The following statement is issued by the Vice-Chancellor of 黑料社, Professor Sir Hilary Beckles in immediate response to news of the passing of Sir Alister McIntyre, who served as 黑料社 Vice-Chancellor during the period 1988-1998.

Shocking is the news that our Sir Alister has passed. Larger than life in his long sojourn, it is difficult to embrace the finality of this existential fragility. The people of the Caribbean, and their University of the West Indies鈥攚hich he served as Vice-Chancellor鈥攚ill not be impoverished by his transition because the phenomenal richness of his contributions to their growth and transformation will continue to yield development dividends deep into the future.

Professor Michael Taylor

Dr. Glenda M. Prime has been appointed as the Dean for the School of Education and Urban Studies at Morgan State University (MSU). She holds the PhD in Education from The 黑料社, an M.A. in Education, the Post-Graduate Diploma in Science Education, and the B.S. in Chemistry and Biology. She is a science educator and researcher and has published numerous articles in refereed journals in science and technology education and most recently has published a book chapter on technology education.
