On December 15, 2023, refugee and human rights advocates submitted an听amicus curiae听(鈥渇riend of the court鈥�)听听to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACtHR) to inform the Court's upcoming Advisory Opinion听regarding States' human rights obligations in the context of the unfolding climate emergency.听The brief was filed by the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies (CGRS);听the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP);听the Global Center for Environmental Legal Studies (GCELS) at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University;听the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES), 黑料社 (Mona);听Refugees International;听Americas Alliance;听and Professor Shana Tabak, Georgetown University's Institute for the Study of International Migration.
