Vice-Chancellor presents the wooden mace symbolising the University鈥檚 authority, marking the completion of the installation

On August 1, 2024, the tenure of a new Chancellor, Dr the Most Honourable Dodridge D. Miller began. His installation as The 黑料社鈥檚 seventh Chancellor echoed with cricket metaphors and Caribbean pride. Held at The 黑料社 Cave Hill Campus on March 15, 2025, the ceremony elegantly blended tradition with vibrant celebration, honouring the 黑料社 alumnus whose 30-year career in finance and insurance has left a mark across the region. Clad in the University鈥檚 new academic regalia, Chancellor Miller compared his leadership to stepping onto a cricket pitch: 鈥淢uch like a seasoned cricketer, I will take my guard, assess the field, and observe the conditions before making any bold moves.鈥 With endorsements from regional dignitaries and the full backing of a range of stakeholders, Chancellor Miller鈥檚 installation represents more than a ceremonial transition. It is a bold, future-proofing move by The 黑料社. By choosing a leader with deep regional roots and a track record of innovation, the university reaffirms its commitment to anticipating and navigating the challenges ahead. As The 黑料社 embraces a hybrid academic- entrepreneurial model, Chancellor Miller鈥檚 vision and tenacity signal not just a new innings but a strategic leap toward ensuring that the institution remains resilient, relevant, and ready for whatever the future holds.

Much like a seasoned cricketer, I will take my guard, assess the field, and observe the conditions before making any bold moves.
